Seeking to further his industry knowledge, Kody Whitaker reached out to Blaine & Jeff in search of an opportunity to serve their company. As a dedicated student of finance, Kody was a perfect fit. Citrus Wealth Intern, Kody Whitaker, Hard at Work.
I was born and raised in Redlands. I'm the quarterback at Henderson State University, and am graduating this December with my Bachelor's in Finance. My hobbies include golfing, reading, surfing, and watching sports.
What do you enjoy most about working for Citrus Wealth?
I enjoy the culture at Citrus. It embodies all the traits that make Redlands a wonderful place. The business model here is 100% client friendly and the company prides itself on helping their clients in any way, shape, or form.
What skills have you acquired during your internship here?
The skills I've acquired here include client interaction and how to carry myself professionally. I learned a ton of information, from retirement planning to personal investing.
What do you hope to have accomplished in ten years?
In ten years, I hope to have my CFP® and my own wealth management firm. I also hope to have my home contractor's license as well as at least five rental properties.
